Care needs innovation – Lecture on Care Day in Innsbruck
Care also requires humanity, dignity, and quality of life. This was precisely what I had the opportunity to discuss on International Nurses Day in Innsbruck, where I presented my vision for OKE.
With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I have accompanied numerous people with pumps. Time and again, it became clear how burdensome traditional carrying systems are: uncomfortable, visible, disruptive in everyday life. Many patients reported pressure points or the feeling of being constantly observed – for some, this meant withdrawal and a loss of freedom.
A special moment in Innsbruck was the presentation of my invention. There, I was able to show that innovative clothing not only improves the quality of life for many patients, but also makes the work of nursing staff in hospitals and at home easier. At the same time, it relieves the burden on relatives who provide care at home and also contributes to the economic stabilization of our healthcare system.
Our fashion is now available not only in our online shop, but also directly in our store in Innsbruck.
Care requires creative solutions that enable people to live independently. That is exactly what OKE stands for.
